Position versus Time Graphs - Lesson I.3.2

A position versus time graph will allow you to determine the displacement of your object. Given the information in the table below, construct a position versus time graph. Your graph must include: a title, independent variable, dependent variable, labeled axis, scale, circled points, and a line of best fit.

We will use the graph to find:

  1. the displacement at 2.5 s and 6.5 s
  2. the time at 40.0 m and 27.0 m
  3. the slope of the line with appropriate units
